Datça House II

August 2011 – completed January 2013

This house is the second project of the Datça Series. The typology of the house is a reaction to the deep steep layout of the site, on the hills of New Datça. The main challenge of the project was the lengthwise slope, which was also a challenge for handling the splendid sea view. Thus, the idea behind this challenge turned out to create a huge single opening towards the sea view. The architectural programme of the house is divided into 4 terraces which allows blending interior spaces with exterior.
